Lip Lift

One of the most current and desired areas of rejuvenation in facial plastic surgery today is the enhancement of the lips. While lip augmentation with filler can often achieve subtle and desirable enhancement, there are certain patients that would benefit more from a lip lift. Dr. Christian Paquet has perfected a tailored lip lift procedure to provide you with the most naturally full and elegant upper lip.

The lip lift is a subtle procedure that provides fantastic results in the right patient. Most surgeons shy away from performing the lip lift procedure for fear of leaving unsightly scars or poor results. Dr. Paquet’s technique provides for natural, long-term results and an incision that, once healed, is virtually invisible.

As we age, our upper lip elongates due to lack of support, and our lips lose fullness and volume. The distance between the tip of our nose and our upper lip increases, and our lip begins to cover more of our teeth, making smiling less elegant. Others are born with long upper lips and naturally thin lips. Whether you are young or old, a lip lift procedure performed by Dr. Paquet allows you to potentially avoid costly repeated filler injections and give you a natural, subtle, yet substantial improvement in red lip volume and eversion.

To determine whether you are a good candidate for this procedure, Dr. Paquet recommends a private, personal consultation and evaluation. To schedule a consultation please call our Concierge Patient Coordinator at (602) 726-6310 or email us at info@paquetplasticsurgery.com.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question - What is a lip lift and what should I expect?

A lip lift will result in a shortening of the upper lip, or distance between the tip of the nose and the mouth. It will result in eversion of the upper lip, thereby showing more pink lip and giving the mouth a more sensual appearance. It will also result in increased visibility of the upper teeth and a more natural and beautiful smile. It will often decrease the need for lip augmentation with filler.

Question - Who is the best candidate for a lip lift?

The best candidate is someone who is in good physical and mental health and has realistic expectations. Lip lifts can be performed in patients of any age. If you have a long upper lip, thin pink lip, or lack of upper teeth showing, you may be an excellent candidate. A lip lift will provide you with a shorter distance between the tip of your nose and your lip, and give your upper lift a more full and natural appearance.

Question - Does a lip lift replace fillers?

A lip lift is an excellent choice in the right patient, and in many cases can replace the need for frequent lip augmentation with fillers.

Question - What should I expect with regards to recovery?

All patients are functional immediately after surgery and are ready for social undertakings within 10-14 days. Any residual redness around the incision after the sutures are removed is easily covered with makeup. In addition, the incision may be treated with different laser techniques in order to speed the recovery process.
