Nonsurgical Facelift

in Phoenix, AZ

In the past, surgeries were patients’ only options to effectively reduce signs of aging like wrinkles and sagging. Today, nonsurgical options are more and more effective, often offering results that rival a traditional facelift. Dr. Christian Paquet offers nonsurgical facelift procedures for patients in Phoenix, Arizona. This allows patients to enjoy facelift results with little to no downtime and only minimal side effects.

What is a Nonsurgical Facelift?

A nonsurgical facelift is a procedure intended to provide results similar to a traditional facelift using injectables and other nonsurgical techniques. In most cases, this means that a combination of neuromodulators, such as Botox, and dermal fillers are used to address wrinkles, sagging, and volume loss throughout the face. For some patients, skin tightening procedures may also be recommended.

Who is a Candidate for a Nonsurgical Facelift?

Many patients who have moderate signs of aging, including wrinkles and fine lines, sagging, or volume loss in the face are good candidates for a nonsurgical facelift. These patients should have realistic expectations for the procedure and their possible results, which Dr. Paquet can explain during a consultation. Some patients with more severe signs of aging may be better suited to a surgical facelift. Prior to a nonsurgical facelift, patients should also be generally healthy overall. Dr. Paquet will review your health history and determine whether a nonsurgical facelift is a safe option.

The Nonsurgical Facelift Procedure

Each nonsurgical facelift will vary somewhat depending on the treatments chosen for each patient. Generally speaking, nonsurgical facelifts do not require anesthesia and can be completed in our office. In some cases, a topical numbing cream may be used to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure.

With numbing cream in effect as needed and the skin thoroughly cleansed, neuromodulator and dermal filler injections can then be completed. This process only takes a few minutes. In some cases, patients may also undergo other treatments to tighten the skin or address other signs of aging. Details on these treatments can be provided during your consultation.

Recovery After a Nonsurgical Facelift

One of the primary benefits of a nonsurgical facelift is that injectables require no downtime. After your procedure, you may notice side effects including redness, slight swelling, and tenderness in the treated area. However, you may immediately return to non-strenuous routines after a nonsurgical facelift if you choose. Dr. Paquet will advise you to avoid direct sun exposure, applying pressure to the injection sites, or undergoing strenuous activities such as exercise. These can increase the risk of complications such as bruising or migration of the injected products. In most cases, patients find that visible side effects including redness dissipate within about 24 hours of their nonsurgical facelift. Results of dermal fillers are immediately noticeable despite some swelling. Results from neuromodulators are typically seen within a week of injections.

Nonsurgical facelift results are not permanent. During a consultation, Dr. Paquet can explain long-term treatment plans including maintenance injections.
