Before your procedure, we will review your medical history, current medications, and any relevant medical conditions. You may be advised to temporarily avoid certain medications or supplements that can increase bruising, when medically appropriate. Avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment will also help minimize swelling and bruising. Arrive with clean skin in the treated area and allow time to discuss any final questions. Your Juvederm Volux Procedure

The Volux injection process typically takes about 30 minutes or less. First, the treatment area is cleansed and numbed before injection. Once prepared, the filler is injected using a fine needle into the jawline and chin areas. Most patients find the procedure very manageable and are able to return to daily activities immediately afterward.

After Your Juvederm Volux Procedure

Mild swelling, tenderness, or bruising near the injection sites is possible and usually resolves within a few days. Cold compresses and anti-inflammatory medications may help reduce discomfort. There is minimal downtime, and patients can immediately return to most normal activities, but are advised to avoid strenuous exercise, prolonged sun exposure, and massaging the treated area for two days.
