Restylane® Refyne is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to soften mild to moderate facial lines while maintaining natural facial expression. At Paquet Facial Plastics x Biltmore Aesthetics, Refyne treatments are thoughtfully customized to smooth wrinkles, refresh your appearance, and enhance facial harmony without compromising movement.
What Is Restylane Refyne?
Restylane Refyne is a hyaluronic acid filler designed to soften mild to moderate facial lines that form around the mouth and nose. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps the skin maintain moisture, elasticity, and volume. As the skin ages, hyaluronic acid levels gradually decline, leading to loose facial skin and wrinkles. Dermal fillers formulated with hyaluronic acid combat these aging effects, restoring lost volume and filling in deep lines and wrinkles.
What sets Refyne apart from other fillers is its use of XpresHAn™ technology, which creates a softer, more flexible cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel that moves naturally with facial expressions. This makes it especially effective in dynamic areas such as smile lines, allowing patients to achieve smoother skin without sacrificing natural movement. The result is a refreshed, youthful appearance that still looks like you.
Am I a Candidate for Restylane Refyne?
Adults over 21 with mild to moderate lines may be good candidates for Restylane Refyne. During a consultation, your provider will review your medical history, assess your facial anatomy, and determine whether this treatment aligns with your aesthetic goals. Good candidates are in good overall health, free of active infections in the treatment area, and do not have allergies to lidocaine or other ingredients in the Restylane formula. Patients who take blood-thinning medications or have known sensitivities to filler ingredients should discuss this during their visit.
REAL PATIENT REVIEW
“I cannot express how thrilled I am with Dr. Paquet and his staff. My fiancé and I met with Dr. Paquet in January 2022, and we knew immediately that this doctor and his staff would be the right choice. From consultation to the procedure to follow-up care, we have never felt like a number. I couldn’t be happier with my results (and just in time for my engagement photos!).”

Refyne is commonly selected to treat nasolabial folds and marionette lines, wrinkles that can deepen with age and repetitive facial motion. By restoring subtle volume in these regions, the filler helps soften facial creases and wrinkles while maintaining facial expressiveness. Its advanced formulation supports natural-looking results rather than an overly filled appearance. With quick treatment and minimal downtime, this is a great way for men and women to quickly refresh their youthful appearance.
Restylane Refyne can be performed alone or used in combination with other types of fillers that are specifically designed to add volume in other areas of the face or correct fine lines and wrinkles. Certain fillers are even specifically designed for thin lips, under-eye hollows, and a weak jawline. Each treatment plan is carefully designed for individual patients’ concerns and aesthetic goals.

Before Your Restylane Refyne Procedure
Before receiving dermal filler treatments, patients will schedule a consultation with Dr. Paquet or our experienced nurse injector. They will examine your facial anatomy, discuss your concerns, and assess your medical history to make sure Refyne is right for you. In the days leading up to treatment, patients are advised to avoid alcohol consumption and blood-thinning medications that could increase the risk of bruising. We recommend that patients arrive at their appointment with clean skin free of makeup, if possible.
Your Restylane Refyne Procedure
Restylane Refyne injections take less than 30 minutes to administer. The formula contains a numbing agent called lidocaine, but a topical anesthetic can be applied if desired for additional comfort. Once your skin is cleansed and prepared, a series of injections will be made using a fine needle. Patients experience minimal discomfort and can immediately return to work or other daily activities.
After Your Restylane Refyne Procedure
Minor swelling, redness, or tenderness may occur at the injection sites and usually resolves quickly. Cold compresses can help minimize swelling, and most patients return to normal routines the same day. Strenuous activity should be avoided for 24-48 hours to promote optimal results.
Smoother contours are noticeable immediately, though results continue to improve over the next one to two weeks as swelling subsides and the filler settles. Most patients see results for 6-9 months, and regular treatments can be scheduled to maintain beautiful, youthful-looking skin.
