What Is Dysport?

Both products are derived from the same neurotoxin, botulinum toxin type A, and work in similar ways to reduce muscle activity that contributes to dynamic wrinkles. This purified form of botulinum toxin type A temporarily relaxes targeted facial muscles, preventing repeated contractions that cause lines to form in the overlying skin. Dysport is FDA-approved to treat moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, also known as glabellar lines, but it may also be used off-label to address other types of fine lines and facial wrinkles.
